In-Game-Reset (IGR) Mod for PlayStation, PSone, X-Station & PSIO
In-Game-Reset (IGR) mod kit for Sony PlayStation allows you to reset the console from the comfort of your own seat using the controller. It has the most benefit when used with PSIO and X-Station as it allows reset via a controller combination to get back to the game select menu. It can also be installed into PSone consoles to add back the reset functionality.
The installation only requires soldering seven wires with no trace cuts or via mask removal.

I have succesfully installed my IGR board today on my PU-18 MOBO PS1. It sits really well alongside my X-station ODE that I also installed just a few weeks ago. I have to say these two mods play so well with each other. It is definitely a must have on your modded PS1. Not having to reach for your console to hit the RESET button definitely makes the console feel more modern and at the same time allows you to jump from one game to another from the convenience of your seat! and I love that! I definitely recommend this kit for anyone that is trying to bring their PS1 to the modern era!
The installation was easy but a little tedious. I know there is a redesigned board for this same kit where the board has a different shape and it eliminates the need for wires to make the 7 connections. Honestly I would’ve ordered that kit but I realized it existed after I had already placed my order. But that’s OK! I managed to make the install look decent enough where the wires are short and don’t look messy. But that will depend on your own experience handling micro soldering with 30 awg single core wire. The redesigned board might be even easier to install so keep that in mind if you don’t want to have to deal with wires!
Overall it’s a very good mod kit! Now I’m ready to have hours on end play time sessions in front of my CRT TV with my X station mod and in-gamne-reset!
